Water Main Break Affects Natick Home
This unlucky customer's home was flooded after a water main break occurred on their street. Water main breaks happen for various reasons as a normal part of operating a water utility. Overly dry or wet weather causes the ground to shift, typically resulting in ground breaks wrapping around the diameter of the pipe. Sudden pressure fluctuations and the normal aging process of the mains also cause breaks, typically resulting in lateral breaks running along the pipe.
